Hi guys

 

I have purcashed a LED bulb for my glovebox light. When I went to fit it I cannot get easy access to the light. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this properly so that I can install my new bulb.

It just clips out.

If your really stuck,

Pull the end cover off the end of the dash, remove the torx screws and the glovebox drops out, really easy, five minute job. That will give you access to the bulb with the light still in place fitted.

The light just levers out I think. However, it's only five Torx screws to drop the whole glovebox http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/178661-fan-only-works-on-higher-speeds/

I've got the plastic to clip out but I can't get the clear plastic bit to clip off in order to give access to the bulb if that makes sense

What bulb did you use ? I also want to replace the ashtray light but haven't seen an led like it ?

Hi mate. I've ordered this but it hasn't come yet. It's just a 30mm LED. I'm not sure what type of bulb is in the ashtray.

It's a bit of a fiddly job if you're not that way inclined.

You have to take the glove box out completely. I then used a pair of tweezers to get the new bulb in.

The glove box scratches VERY easily so be careful!

For anyone that's still interested, I got the glovebox out and replaced it with the 30mm LED. Very easy to do and a great upgrade to the standard glovebox light.
