How does the old 1.9 TDI PD (100,115,130,150), compare to the 2.0 TDI PD (140 16V, 140 8V, 170 16V) and the 2.0 TDI CR (140, 170) in terms of power delivery.

 

The 1.9 delivers its power in one big lump between 1500-3000 rpm. What about the other engines.

 

Cheers guys just trying to make my mind up before I go ahead and purchase a new car. I prefer the sudden rush of power.

Believe the 2.0 PD is quite similar, though maybe not as brutal. Got the 1.9PD with a shark remap to around the same bhp as the 2.0. Get same or better mpg as the 1.9 but with all the power and "punch" of the 2.0.
