Use WinRAR to extract, 7zip doesn't see it as a valid file.

Sorry, newbie question:- The root directory for the zip file I downloaded is called "markets" Is that what's expected?  This is my first time trying to do an update. LOL!! 

 

So I just unzip the files with WinRAR and copy them across to my Skoda SD card (backing up the current data and then wiping it first), and then insert my updated SD card back into slot 2 and then go to Update in the Amundsen?

Just check its the same file structure as your original card, it should be. Your procedure above is correct but there is nothing to do on the amundsen screen as all the data is stored and read from the card each time i believe.

O.K. thanks, I don't actually have access to my SD card right now as my car is at the dealers right now to get some scratches to the bodywork repaired that had  been hidden when I bought the car, so I couldn't/ can't check the file structure.

That probably explains why it's so slow to start up

..and to perform ANY operation. I wonder if - given the cost of Amundsen - it was indeed the case of saving a few GB of memory inside the unit!
