gearbox code?

therre will be a 3 letter code stamped on a machined flat surface, 02a type are common as muck, they got used on vr6, g60, 16 valvers, tdi, im on the look out for a particular code for parts for a rebuild.

Ok I'll take some pictures in a bit and post it up later. What I do know is it came off a 94 mk3 golf gti 16v with about 130000, I still have log book with it that came with the engine.

I couldn't find the stamp Tom but I have taken some pictures, not sure if that helps but at the minute it stuffed up right at the back on the top shelf in a container at work.

 

I'll dig it out and clean it off so I can check properly as soon as I get a chance.
