vrs mpg

What are all you guys geting mpg wise? Give or take alittle depending how i drive im geting on average 28ish around town. Is this good??

my gauage takes a good few miles to avg out, did a 100 miles yesterday avg 33mpg. lot of dual carriage way driving, bit in town.   if its just to work and back up to shops etc,its low 20,s

i only trust the avg mpg the real time one is ****ed up!!

Never trust the computer; use the brim-to-brim and calculator method. I get about 35.5mpg on a decent long run, but normally 30-32 mpg with the sort of driving that I do day to day. I don't smash it like a prat all the time, nor do I drive it like I have an mpg fetish, as I didn't buy and modify a 1.8 turbo to worry about how much Tesco Momentum it consumes. Oh and 24-25mpg when loaded up with tools/trackday kit and pulling ~1 tonne of trailer, track car, wheels and fuel. I love the my Skoda.

Avg around 35-39mpg, hit 41.9 today through the lanes, and the best was 45.6 driving like miss daisy.

As above really if the computer was spot on I'd save a fair few quid. That reads over 40 on a good run. Don't do hardly any town driving but my overall for Welsh lanes, hills, b and a roads is 36. Frankly I can't be too bothered with calculating it properly, I just use the computer as a ball park. It is accurate enough to show any anomalies in how the car is running though

When you scroll threw your screen to bring up mpg when you get to average press reset quickly(dont hold it down) then it'll bring up your overall average

My average displayed on screen was showing 23.3mpg and when calculated on my mpg app was 23.7mpg

Yeah [1] is individual trip, [2] is overall, or the other way round, you get the idea

I'm getting around 32mpg average which to be honest I'm a bit dissapointed with. My old T5 Volvo would manage 27-28mpg for the same journeys and that had another 60 BHP, 150KG weight and an extra cylinder to guzzle fuel with!

I find it takes 10mins to warm up in town (<5 on a-roads) which doesn't help and I've changed the thermostat which has made negliable difference (PITA that was!). I've re-adjusted the handbrake so the cables are even, serviced the rear brakes (its had new rear calipers) and its all nice and free and now finally fitted the handbrake return springs. Even after all this though I find that the rear passenger brake still smells of brakes periodically even if it doesn't get warm :wonder: Therefore I can't help but think this is the main factor of the mpg not being as good as it could be.

It gives great mpg on a run though generally. Bit annoying really, I wouldn't mind so much but I'm sure it could do a bit better :|

32ish average, round town and short a road to work, but 40 on a run, 44 with premium fuel. I only use premium if I'm doing a motorway or distance run, 10% increase is pretty good! Did'nt seem to do anything for round town driving though.

I have a 25 mile (each way) commute.  About 18 on the motorway, if I go to Morrisons for lunch that's an extra 8 mile round trip round town.. Any evening and weekend nipping about is usually around town.  Average mpg on the clock sits somewhere between 34.2 and 34.5mpg, and i keep forgetting to do a brim to brim check.  That's a MK1 with a stage 1 map (Going off the paperwork and cost, i think it's a PSI Tuning generic remap... so not sure what power it's running)
