Website is still up, I need to phone them anyway about my squeaky seat and squeaky clutch operation. The end of the building has now got a suzuki dealership, and prior to that it was a bike dealership for a few months, seems to be an unlucky site

The website may be up and running for Subaru, TVR, Mercs, etc,but I cant get at their Skoda website, do they have a new one separate from the Official Skoda website feed?

I have closed the Warrington dealer feedback and added a new entry for HL Gorner - Ashton-in-Makerfield. Skoda UK's site has still to catch up.

They closed, wow...where am I to get a test drive of the new RS now...

eeek.... where am I gorner go for Skoda service now in Warrington!!

Liverpool :D

I'm happy! They are now closer to where I live

HL Gorner has been where it is in Ashton-in-Makerfield for a long time - it was originally a Mercedes dealership but has recently moved into more exotic machinery, such as TVR's, Porsche etc.

My next service will be interesting.... Hmm now what courtesy car should I ask for?

That's a real pain - it would have been nice for them to send a mailer out to existing customers at least, advising of the move

I was gonna ring them this week as well, concerning a few warranty issues. Don't know who to use now - either drive into Manchester, over to Liverpool or upto Ashton-in-Makerfield  Thoughts?

Steve

HL Gorner is well established (and it was afterall the same company that owned both dealerships). I believe they have moved people from Warrington, so I don't think service would suffer as long as they are setup with all the Skoda specific kit. If they are an official Skoda dealer now then I can't imagine warranty issues would be a problem either. They were good about a few bits I had done when they were in Warrington.

I just don't appreciate having to now drive further to reach a Skoda dealership, and only finding out about on here, not from the dealer themselves! Granted, I've only used them a few times, and have been pleased with their service (until now). But they will have my details....

Claybank in Irlam straight down the A57, really good bunch and great service, my brake light switch died when I was in wrexham, which meant that I was left with NO brake lights, they told me to drop in as soon as possible that day and replaced the switch witin half an hour of me getting there

Is that the one that's just over Thelwall, near the main roundabout? If so, I popped in there a few months ago for some touch paint :)

So I at least know where that one is - good to hear they gave you decent service

I can understand that, especially if you got your car from them in the first place...

It didn't actually come from them, no. But I've had it serviced there and picked up any bits/extras/accessories I need from them. The car actually came from Alex Lawrie in Liverpool and I'm the second owner.

Never heard of em lol.... guess I'll have to go and find out where they are before I need em!

Failing that, I spose it's a trip to Ashton-in-Makerfield.....

And yeah, I'm a bit peeved too that Gorners dint let me know - didn't buy my car from there but it's where the service was done and I've been in a few times for bits n pieces......

I got one throught the post from Skoda UK the other day, as it goes...

Looks like getting the local VAG specialist to do my servicing won't be a one-off after all...

Going to be a bummer to have to use Horner's in Manchester if I have any warranty claims, though - they expected me to pay 25p for a replacement door panel clip, even though if I'd taken it in as a warranty issue, they'd have had to replace it for nothing, AND pick up the tab for fitting the blinking thing!!! :thumbdwn:

Preston skoda riding and co also shuts this week. Bugger. had mine booked i for warranty thursday....shuts tuesday!!!!!!!
