air vents?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've always had an issue with the air vents on the driver side of the footwells.

so when I crank the fan full blast, and divert all air to the foot Wells only I barely feel any air circulation on the driver side. However passenger side looks fine as you feel the air strongly.

Just wondered if is the norm....

Can anyone who has the auto climate controls give this a try? Just select footwells and crank the fan on full....and let me know if you get much air circulation from the driver side compared to passenger side?

I'm popping by the dealership tomorrow for get some alignment checks done and was hoping to mention this pending on some comparisons..

Thanks...

I have witnessed the same on mine. I think it may be something to do with the climate as over time it does start to come through but it's not as instant as the passenger side.

Is it LHD centric?

If so, that'd be odd.

I think this is the classic effect of LHD to RHD...  at least (unlike some French manufacturers) half our glove boxes aren't full of fuse box. But I can't think of any other reason why the passenger will get nice toasty - or windy feet and the driver can't other than it being something to do with the LHD to RHD conversion - or not, in this case.

Haha

It amuses me that UK drivers don't like indicators on the right.

I used to love my Toyotas when I was in the motor trade... Indicator on the right and hazard light switch on the top of the steering column.... Far easier to hit in an emergency situation rather than having to look all over for the damned switch!

Transition from indicators on the right to on the left can be tricky, if you've got it into your head that up is for left and down is for right.

Particularly if you think the steering wheel does the same...........:-)))
