I still cannot believe the difference between the fuel consumption figures for the 1.2 TSI in manual vs DSG configuration.

On 16" wheels its:

45.6 vs 67.3 (urban)

67.3 vs 78.5 (xurban)

57.7 vs 74.3 (combined)

Maybe it's just a quirk of how the tests are specified - but I assume they didn't require my wife to be driving for the manual figures ...

It's clearly one of the many mistakes in that brochure. Compare the figures with the hatch, which has almost identical figures for auto and manual.

VAG brochures are littered with little inaccuracies.....the recent MK7 Golf brochure suggested the GTD put out max torque between 2.5 and 5k rpm which is *******s :-)
