Last service was in February. Cambelt was changed January 2014. Have recently changed clutch, new camshaft sensor and new turbo boost pipe

Car was previously owned by forum member who cared for it meticulously, as I have tried to continue. Comes with service history up to 2011 then a handmade log book listing everything done during last 4 years, maintained by previous keeper's mechanic friend and then my friend that has worked for VW, Mercedes and now Jaguar/Land Rover

Has two keys though I think one fob may require a new battery

Full build thread with photos below, though modification list above is accurate as some changes have been made

Sheffield and back today, 420 miles, just over half a tank used, averaged 59mpg on maxidot. 8 hours of driving and still felt fresh afterwards.....maybe I should keep it

Any feedback on advert/price appreciated

Lovely car this, the interior is first class, do you mind me asking how the car rides with the coilovers, is it much more harsh than the standard set up? I know this is subjective, I was just wondering how it is in daily use on our less than perfect road surfaces.

I've not had a standard one for a few years now, but it's not bad at all. Did 400 miles in the car yesterday with no problems and no sore back that you can get with some harsh rides. It is obviously firmer than standard but I've had no issues with it

Good to hear, I have never driven a car with coilovers, always assumed it would be a bit too harsh for day to day driving, I have been looking into buying a Fabia Vrs recently and have seen one which is lowered 40mm and that`s the only thing I have reservations about, I suppose the best way to judge would be to drive one, GLWTS.

Those seats are delicious.

Price wise I think it's spot on. Personally I'd be putting some of your own pictures on of it.

Stunning.

Strange thing. The care gained an extra owner, extra miles and for some reason extra value?

Supply and demand mate. Find the same one with same spec and condition for less? The cars history is well document on the forum and i think these have hit rock bottom depreciation wise. How cheap do you think it should be?

Miles and owners don't interest me condition is whay you should be buying a car on.

Very strange the way it has gone up in value that's what I thought as soon as it came back on. ste372 must be on commission and has for hit rock bottom you are joking over priced more like and have been for some time. what do you know about the condition some of the pic's are over 2 years old

  • Author

Ok maybe this can be locked now. As for gone up in value, you don't know what I paid for it, or what I've spent on it. I appreciate all your comments, positive and negative but I've decided to keep the car so it's not relevant now. Thanks

And it's in exactly the same condition, all but maybe a few stone chips, hence using the same pictures. So ste372 made a pretty fair assessment in that respect
