Trade in value - Monte Carlo Tech 1.2tsi

Featured Replies

Hi all

Had a great 18 months with the fabia but fancy a change and a bit more room, so thinking of going for a new yeti!

I am getting some trade in quotes but trying to figure out realistically what I should be expecting from the dealer. The online valuation tools are all over the place and don't seem too helpful.

Its a 63 plate, in black with the usual tech stuff. 11k miles on it. Excellent condition, just one or two small parking dings.

Any thoughts? Need to clear the outstanding on the PCP finance if this plan is a goer.

Cheers

I've just ordered a new Fabia III SE estate and was offered just over £8k, not sure about true figures, just know I'm getting my new one with nothing in from me and same monthly payments.

Book price is anywhere between £7500 and £8200, PCP wise it depends on what your initial deposit is as to whether the finance will be cleared. They should at least clear your existing finance like they have with mine and give you some money down for your new one.

That helps. Cheers.

I put no cash in at the start and the outstanding is just under 8k. So that sounds about right that I will get the settlement paid and be able to start afresh.

I am going for a personal lease this time as I can get a £27k car for not much more on the monthly payment on the Monte Carlo. It also makes it a bit easier to swap around at the end of each lease.

Can I ask. How many miles was on yours? And did you get a good discount on the new one, or did they not play ball with a discount having given you a half decent trade in on the Monte Carlo?

My Monte is a 13 plate with just over 12k on the clock. They've discounted the car as they were giving you a £1000 deposit contribution/discount and 0% APR as well as a £500 fuel card. The car has a £3500 higher list price than my Tech but it's costing me nothing to change so I can't complain.
