I left my Octavia VRS into my local main dealer for a service last month only to be told they will not do any work on the car because the sump was cracked and leaking oil, they still charged me €90. Anyway, I bought a sump from GSF and got a local mechanic to fit it, I have had the car back to him 3 times and I also brought it to another mechanic due to oil leaking from the sump plug and oil level sensor. I have replaced the sump plug twice as I have read they are a bit fragile.

I don't want to have to go back to the main dealer as they quoted me around €450 to replace the sump.

 

Any advise what to do next?

Get a genuine Sump & VAG sealant from TPS or main dealer.
