Bad seats

Featured Replies

Hi

I have read about the front seat being to narrow which cause a num leg...

I have that problem in my car :) but only after 2 1/2 hours of non stop driving...

Somebody talk about bending a metal thing... Were Can i find this ? Because i'm sure this is the problem.

So i want to bend it a little bit :-)

Does any of you guys have some pictures ?

Its under the plastic trim that runs alongside the seat cushion. The seat switches (if electric) or the height adjustment lever poke through the plastic trim.  I haven't got any photos but the trim is easy to remove.  The metal bar underneath is very thick and it runs really close to the drivers hip somewhere just in front of the Seat angle adjustment wheel. From what I remember the bar was only about 20mm from my hip before I moved it away a little.   I got a big lever and bent mine out a bit which completely cured the problem.   Moving the bar away from the seat allows the seat cushion to spread in that area when you sit on it and should hopefully take away the numbness.

Actually i pm you :-) Because i found an old tread about the problem :-)

But how do you remove the trim ?

anyway u can also pm me on the old thread.

many thanks

If you think the Superbs seats are harsh, try a Merc Sprinter, could cripple you after 300 miles

Compared with my mondeo the seats are a bit narrower and not so comfortable
