Hello all!!

 

Just registered with you guys as I am looking at getting an Octavia vRS Estate very soon, the dirty derv version though!!

 

Will mostly be trawling the forum looking for hints & tips, what to look out for when looking at the car, common issues, service costs etc. etc.

 

I live in County Durham where there aren't many Skoda dealers....  hopefully I'll be able to find a good one though.  Currently drive a mk4 Astra [don't ban me straight away lol!] and have had it since May 2004 when it had 41,000 miles on and now it has 224,000 miles.

I look after my cars so the Octavia will be kept for same kind of time frame.  Looking for a sportier car than the Astra, but due to the amount of miles I'll be doing, it will be a diesel.  But looking at the specs of the vRS it will be a huge step up anyway.

 

Had a quick look at re-maps for them and they seem very worth while, so that's on the cards when I buy one.

 

At the moment though, like I say, I'm in major research mode to find a good example so you'll no doubt see the odd post from me as times goes on.
