Possible DSG issue

Featured Replies

Recently I have noticed strange behavior with my DSG.

When in D mode (not sport) first time when I floor the throttle (after the engine got to working temp etc..) I can experience some kind of resistance near the bottom of the throttle pedal travel, like it stops somewhat above the usual bottom point, pedal doesnt 'sink' all the way down.

But it only happens first time when I floor it.. really weird and I havent experienced this before... doesnt sound healthy to me :(

Nothing on the floor obviously blocking the pedal travel.

Anybody got similar behavior?

Is it not the "kick-down" part of the accelerator pedal travel?

Automatics usually have an different pedal with the last 20% or so being harder to press as it triggers "kick-down".

No, the effect I describe is different that usual, because like I said, it happens only the first time I floor it. Later during driving pedal press feels normal when floored.
