You and me both

The Fiesta brings up a completely different set of emotions, that the McLaren never will. Even Mrs Gaz was beaming while we were chatting with the owner (she had a 1980 1.1 and a 1981 1.3 back in the mid '80's).

At the local recycling centre (aka tip) this morning and was surprised to see a very well kept 1988 mk1 VW Caddy (essentially a Golf Pickup). Alas no photo as I didn't have my phone 🙄.

There's an old farmer round here has one, the car is more rust than metal, and the private plate on it's probably worth about £20k 🤣

BMW Z-1. Totally standard and full BMW service history. Delivered to the bloke's parents in 1990.
He said they also have another Z-1 but in yellow!

They are worth quite a bit of money, those things. They look and sound tremendous on the rare occasion I've seen one. Well done to the owner for not parking it up in a garage as an investment

I popped to a classic car meet today and saw a couple of Ford Taunus's (Taunusi?) "Knudsens". We had them as the MkIII Cortina.
Dad skipped the MkIII and went from a MkII to a MkIV but the neighbours had a MkIII in orange.

Then I googled Taunus GXL and this video was the top hit. The very same car (the one with the Hamburg plates)
