Are the leaking power tailgate struts a common issue?

Believe so, one of mine is a bit 'damp' but they didn't fault it last time it was in, as i thought the opening and closing was a bit slow - and it occasionally drops down a bit if you're on a slight slope - not sure how long its supposed to take to open.

Both mine were covered in oil. Next pair due in another 3000 miles....

I dread,to think where these components are made and what (if any) Qc checks are made on skoda parts in general

Tbh they are made and checked in the same place as the Vw,audi,seat parts

I think I'll check mine aren't leaking .....

Glad i didn't pay over £10K more then for an audi to be plagued with the same VAG faults.
