So has anyone installed a short shifter?

 

there seem to be a few floating around that claim to fit but was wondering if anyone here has any direct experience?

I have a DSG so of no real value to me BUT when I installed a quick-shift on my Subaru Legacy a few years ago it transformed the gear change and driving pleasure.

 

Need to be careful that it is a genuine 'short throw' conversion (at the fork end) and not simply a shortened gear stick though. There are some cowboy units out there   :notme:
