Columbus Navigation not storing data any more

Hi there.  Hoping someone can help after the satnav working perfectly for the last 2 or 3 years it has suddenly stopped storing data.  By this I mean last destinations, favourite destinations, roadblocks etc;  It seems to save the information but then loses it when the key is out of the ignition.

 

Even stranger is that if I go into Setup -> Reset -> Reset Navigation memory - all the stored data dissapears.  But again when I restart the car they all come back again.

 

Anyone heard of this happening before or have any potential solutions?

PS In case it helps I am on: Firmware 4024 and Maps 7918
