Ocatvia Owner 1 - Skoda 0

Featured Replies

I have been fighting with skoda uk over some rust issues on my 2007 vrs.

Skoda paid for an independent to survey the vehicle following a failed attempt at a warranty claim as the dealer said it should be covered.

I have now been told that they are going to sort it all!!

so that's a new boot, respray of all doors and the sills on both side :) happy owner :)

Hi Dan,

Brilliant news! How long is the warranty for then as I has rust on the boot of my 2006 Octavia (on a lip more or less level where the rear lights are). How did you get the main dealer to agree it should be covered!!?

3 years paint. 10 years corrosion iirc

Skoda are very picky tho, if you didnt buy the car new/from a main dealer and used skoda for every little bit of work/service/mot they really dont care

Funny thing was dealer said it should be covered. It was skoda warranty who said no so as they both disagreed they got pvwi involved who assessed it and said skoda should pay

I think there will be a lot of pre FL owners interested in this.

Sill rust was one of the main reasons I decided to move the car on.
