Just bought a 2003 1.9 TDi 130 bhp pd Superb to pull my caravan. only had the car a week, it replaced a Peugeot 406 110 HDi. up to now I can't fault the car any comments would be appreciated, paying particular attention to cruise control, ie when/if to use it when towing.

Welcome. I used to use cruise control when I towed a 1350kg caravan on the Continent with an Audi 100CD5E automatic. I recommend that you give it a try but use with caution and only when there is plenty of room between you and surrounding traffic.

Not a caravan man myself although I love my cruise. Would suggest it will be fine for motorway towing but turn it off near any inclines - it can't change gear for you!

I've never towed a caravan, but unless its a quiet, fairly flat road, I suggest you don't use it.

And again, why the :( . If I had a Superb 130PD I'd be :woot:
