Skoda Service App

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is the right place? I've downloaded the Skoda service app on Android but it's keeps saying service stopped. Looking on play store, it works fine for some people and others just get the same error as me.

Any ideas?

What version of Android are you running? It doesn't work on Lollipop, only on 4.x

Ahh that will be why then as I'm using 5.0.1, thanks for that.

I have it working on my nexus5 on lollipop.

Very odd as it doesn't work on my HTC One M8 and it specifically states

Note: The application is not adapted for Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Definitely works. On 5.1.1 and able to get the dealer locater, and Dow load the new manual to read all about mib2

Hmm, I have an HTC One M8 too, maybe it's the combination?

Works perfectly on my Sony Z2 with android 5.0.2.

You are not really missing anything.

The app just gives you a "dealer finder" with contact details & the ability to download the user manual for various models.

I was hoping it would show me the online "serivce history" of the car (as its stored electronically by Skoda now instead of having a service booklet) but no.

You update the Smartgate firmware using the service app .....

Will it connect to SmartGate though?

I will hopefully find out sometime in the beginning of August!

That's where the problem starts on mine :)
