Yup, that's the chap :)

Its not just a matter of turning it on. You will need a bluetooth module, wiring loom and mic im afraid. I did mine on a 12 plate. Plug and play but fiddly to hide all the wiring etc.

It depends, many of the blacklines have the Amundsen+ with builtin bluetooth. If it is one of these then it's a simple case of enabling the BT and adding a mic.

Easiest way to check is to remove the unit and check the MAC address is not 00:00:00:00:00:00.

The instruction book says it's a Amundsen + and should have bluetooth but I need somebody to plug it in and see if it has bluetooth and if they can turn it on for me.

If not I'll get the the Mrs a cheap headset and she can make do with that I don't want to start taking things apart until I fit the mic if I can get it turned on that is.

Very, if you follow the guide WookieeM posted, it's basically step one.

You need to remove the facia, then the four screws to pull the headunit out - be careful not to strain any cables as I suspect some may need disconnecting for access. A good tip here is to remove the central dash box/air vents. The entire assembly should pop upwards, then you can push the hazard switch out and disconnect it so it's out the way. It's much easier as you can now get in from above as well as around the headunit.

At this point you should be able to see a sticker on the headunit somewhere which will give a MAC address in the format listed.

If it looks like this one, then it doesn't have bluetooth: http://obrazki.elektroda.pl/9500614500_1344354633.jpg

I've taken it out it was an easy job,I was just being lazy and the number is MAC: 90:03:B7:40:EA:87 .

So dose this mean I've got BT fitted to the unit if so does anybody know someone who could turn it on for me.

I live in Deeside North wales not to far from Chester.

Yup, looks like all you should need it a mic kit fitting and you should be good to go.

There is a list of members with VCDS here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com/ and even a map :)

As you've now got a few posts you should be able to PM them and see if anyone will code it up for you.

If they need instructions, I'd use the ones from the guide linked earlier: http://www.remkoweijnen.nl/blog/2011/08/26/rns-315-enable-the-hidden-bluetooth-carkit/ should be super simple to do and take no more than 5 minutes. Ask them to do an autoscan first for your records as it'll definitely help when you want help or ask questions about other functions you want to add.
