Speedometer needle lighting

Featured Replies

When I purchased my car a year ago it already had no lighting for speedometer. Everything was fine with rev-counter, coolant temperature indicator and fuel indicator. I managed to live with that but now both coolant and fuel indicator needles are starting flickering a bit and they get normal lighting only after some driving. I guess that they are going to the end right now. Only rev-counter needle seems to be OK.

All that is a bit annoying and I'm wondering if I can fix this problem myself. I tried to search in forum and I even found some topics but people were talking mostly about price in dealers garage. I'm not willing to spend a fortune for such unimportant thing.

So, is it possible to fix this thing by myself and without spending a lots of money?

Thanks.

Too bad that this topic is missing pictures...

And this text is scary:

Yes - It is Rocket Science. If in doubt - Don't do it - They are very expensive to replace

I think I'll try to live with missing lighting :)
