Anyone recommend a garage that knows about skoda? (Midlands)

So it's time for my Octavia 2nd service. 3 dealers called 3 wildly different prices. But the worrying thing is all 3 said I need different work doing.

So after an indie who's prime concern isn't just flogging shiny new things.

While it is OK to use and indie if they use original parts and work to Skoda standards without affecting the warranty - if you are keeping the car beyond 3 years I would stay within the dealer network.  if anything breaks soon after the warranty expires you may well get a 'contribution' towards any repairs if you have full Skoda service history but with an indie stamp in the service book they will not consider helping out

A second service, assuming a 2 year or 20K one, is only an oil and filter change plus inspection anyway so while they may try and upsell you can tell them to stick with the basic service as per the service schedule

Sorry I was not clear. Car is on variable servicing approaching 36k. I'm not concerned about the skoda stamp and I added the 5 year warranty at which point it will be sold. (Company car rules)

See if you can get a "groupon" voucher for a service dealer near you. My Dealer quoted £135. Groupon was £45. They used genuine oil filter too.

Might be too far for you but I can recommend Lincoln VW Specialists,

They really know the brand and have excellent technicians.

Shark Performance in Mansfield?

Is it the DSG Service? If so I would definitely go with Skoda. Wakes a future warranty claim so much simpler.

Fixed that for you...

No DSG. Found an indie in Derby who knew what's up and will change everything not just some bits like the crap main dealers. It's embarrassing just how thick the service centre staff often are.
