Skoda Octavia VRS MK1 lights, wiper, horn and AC not working

Featured Replies

hi guys,

i have been reading different threads on BRISKODA since some time now, which interested me in buying my self a 2005 Skoda Octaavia VRS MK1.

the car was maintained well since the last 10 years by the 1st owner and has done 113k kms with all services done at the skoda dealer at an interval of 15k kms.

recently while doing an early morning drive, i stopped at a store and when i started the car again the headlights failed to glow, with this the wipers the horn and the air-con didn't work either and also the turn indicators.

i checked all the fuses but they seem to be good.

any idea what this could possibly be?

please require info on this as this my daily drive and i cannot drive it without these necessities.

thanks in advance.

Check the fuse box located on top of the battery, look for blown fuses & for signs of burning/ melting. The large cables that go to it are notorious for causing problems due to bad crimp connections.

Agreed; even in European conditions that fuse box is notorious for overheating.

I faced the same issue today. Did you find a solution for this? Please do share your thoughts.

I think the OP has made exactly one post here in 6 years, and you've already read it.
