Dealer Fit ?

Featured Replies

We've now got the Factory Fit Options and price list. Anyone seen a Dealer Fit Options and price list yet ?

I am guessing here but the German configurator http://skoda-cc.cloudapp.net/deu/deu/de-de shows accessories which would likely be dealer fit or supplied such as:

First Aid Kit

Warning Triangle

Hi-Vis Jacket

Tow Rope

Child Seat

Steering Wheel Lock

Mat Sets

Cooler Box

Mud Flaps (front & rear)

Stainless Steel Pedals

Bike Rack for Towbar

Boot Luggage Fixing Systems

Various Media Adaptor Cables

None of these appear on the UK Configurator. I think I'd like the stainless steel pedals option they look rather nice!

Emmm....not sure about them.  Somebody actually crashed into me and when I asked what happened they pointed to the stainless steel pedals and claimed their foot slipped off the break on to the accelerator as it was wet!

I have stainless pedals on my Scout. They have little rubber bits on them and arnt slippy...

Yeah I've seen those type of pedals before and they have little bits of rubber dotted into them alright.  It obviously wasn't enough for that driver though and the damage cost over €3K!

I'm sure not all SS pedals are the same and that driver sounds like a ****. Just as bad as flip flops with rubber pedals. A bad workman blames his tools springs to mind! Do you think insurance will increase with 'non safe' pedals fitted? I should think standard pedals with inappropriate footware would also be a hazard. Maybe insurance companies should be asking on appropriate use of footware ;)

Hi l4wrence,

Just remembered your post about the steel pedals.

They're actually in the German Superb 3 accessories (after-sales) brochure with part numbers, so any Škoda dealer should be able to order them for you.

Slip the rubber ones off and put these on.

Both manual & auto sets are 69.90 euros. (And in the German configurator, where you saw them, they're marked "Zubehör" = "Accessory" at the same price)

Cheers, if they are not available in the UK by the time I get the car I'll just pick them up the next time we are in Germany, as long as the Pound-Euro stays good it's a fair price :)

Please be aware that the dealer price list includes all the items from Europe at the moment that may not end up being on the UK list and these items are being charged at silly prices.

Actually, I just ordered a set of alloy wheels (Zenith) from the German brochure, through the UK dealer, and using 1.4 as the inter-bank exchange rate, they worked out at €2 euro more than the German price.

Not exactly what I'd call being charged "silly prices".

Granted my notes were given to me by my friend and I should have states "some of these item" Although two Euro's is nearly half a pint which is getting into serious territory. Smiling enicons.
