Gemini Slight Kerbing

Featured Replies

im looking for some new gemini's following a slight kerbing, in comparison this wheel is absolutely mangled.

Looks like the kerb has been used as a running rail! I thought my wheel was bad! Haha

All that's ready for is to be weighed in for scrap!

If he bothered to wash it then it would look better probably.  To be fair, yes it's damaged around the edge but you see so many wheels mullered right up the spokes and that one isn't. I Bet it's well refurbish-able.

Caveat... I've only viewed on my phone.

It probably is fixable but will need welding maching and painting so will probably cost less to buy a new one from skoda

Hi there, I kerbed my Gemini anthracite alloy and took it to a well-known local alloy wheel refurbishment centre near me. They quoted me £35 or thereabouts and I thought "great" but what a mistake! In my naivety, I presumed the alloy would be repaired to O.E. standard-oh dear! Nope, they didn't repair the diamond cut finish but just did a standard alloy repair and I was gutted! Lesson learned here.

I would have thought that means they haven't done the job as expected, so you shouldn't have paid for it. Refurbished means back to good as new in my book.

Ouch, I would still say that's well kerbed! Mine I would call minor kerbing as you have to look for it. Although that wheel is probably easily fixed with the right welding and turning its sure not minor kerbing
