Featured Replies

A contact isnt happy with her taxi, a Superb 4x4 3.2(?) Elegance

Shes bought a Volvo S80 4x4 4.4 V8

(keeping the Superb for now)

She's brave, no concerns over fuel consumption then!

Not worried about having two taxis either!

Well she's got good taste in cars and likes to get her customers to their destination on time.

exec work, race horse trainers and the like

I presume its not the engine that is the issue then as the 3.6 V6 certainly wouldn't be short of power!  That Volvo is an animal though......

That D5 is no slouch either! :D

Based on what I see driving in Ireland you wouldn't think there was anything bigger than a D5 available from Volvo, or that anyone makes big petrol engines anymore... Then you go to Zurich and see an S500 Merc being used as a taxi from the airport - sadly I needed a train instead :(.

You'd be forever fueling that pig.

S500 cool. Now there's a taximan with a bit of style.:)

Assuming it doesn't have an old CDi engine stuck under the bonnet that put in after a few years. Wouldn't be the first S500/600 badged model I've seen with a diesel rattle when it's fired up - still a lovely car of course!
