Is buying a car that has been categorised as cat d dodgy?

Could the car be structurely weakened and also will it increase the insurance?

Cat D is lowest rating. Chances are the car will be fine as it should have only suffered very minor damage, shouldnt affect insurance either. The ones not to get are A's and B's. C's are a bit dodgy but provided they are repaired properly should be ok.
