New alternator belt fitted and tensioned properly, at first it was squeaky and somewhat embarrassing!

Back on its wheels at last!

  • Wento for a quick trip to the petrol station. Got sidetracked. I am loving this car! It sounds like it's gargling on the fuel not just drinking it, what an awesome sound!

Opened the passenger door and the door pocket caught on the rubber seal…snap!

It can go naked for now, it has been repaired before and every original connection point is broken.

It looks okay like that and also gives weight savings.

Quite pleased with that!

There was a bit of an incident with some gold spray paint being used in the garage!

So power wash, snow foam, power wash, hand wash, power wash, clay bar x 3, then polish !!

So clean, but Rusty has given me a job to do. Coolant is leaking from the heater feed hose. Should just be a case of draining the coolant, taking the awkward-to-reach pipe off, cleaning it all up and re-fitting.

Quick job today to clean up the leaking joint to the heater, and fix. Yeah right 4 hrs later an extra trip to @repconz - really helpful staff at New Plymouth branch as always. The pipe I got was a bit snug and took some cursing to get on but I got there and the rusty pipe is gone.

The end! Rusty has gone to a new home.

Still coming to terms with it tbh.

I’ll be watching this later on, but… wwwhhhhaaaaat???? I thought your kids would be trying to figure out who was gonna be getting Rusty on which weekends in a few decades.

Only one question... Why???????

G12 pink coolant.

Noooo. It's like a well loved Brisky member has suddenly just disappeared off the face of the earth!

Still there's room for a big V8 in your garage now hopefully

A step on the journey to financial freedom and affording to retire before I’m 80 years old.

I hope all is well Rob and you're still enjoying what looks to be an amazing life, imagine if you hadn't taken the jump to leave Leeds? think of all those experiences you would have missed! The Quattro was just another stepping stone and I'm sure greater adventures will come your way (just different kinds of adventure).
