Right then, it would appear that 'stopan1j' was absolutly right!!

I have fitted the unit and it is pretty much the same as the MFD G unit I had in the Bora apart from it illuminates green!!

No sterring wheel or FSI display but the unit does everything else, it does actually have the predictive text function as questioned earlier on in this thread.

As for the pin formation, can you confirm what's missing then 'stopan1j', I looked at the green connector block as you stated but couldn't see any pin numbers?

I popped down to the Skoda dealer and they said they would be happy to have a play with the VAG-COM system but couldn't make any guarantees that they could get it to work.

Nothings missing - Your dealer can play to their hearts content with their VAG com equiv they wont get anywhere - trust me. The green plug you have shown has wires Can + and - on pins 8 & 9 as I expected that was used by your old radio for Display and contriols. Your "a"version navigation unit does not support this method :( so putting it politely you are stuffed unfortunately, as previously posted earlier in this thread.

Pin no.s for interest are shown on a label on navi casing?

Its a shame as the dispaly in the multidot unit for navigation is great, its a real shame to be so close but so far, been there
