Will i lose my rear parkings sensors ?

Featured Replies

I must admit to be a tad confused, i have the ususal Skoda rear parking sensors on my 1.9tdi elegance and want to keep them, i have called a few double din units sellers who tell me that if i got a new headunit i would lose the ability for them to work through my speakers ? I have also a mk2 fabia with maxidot and parking sensors so i guess this is true here also...... are there any double din headunits out there that will allow me to keep what i already have on both my cars ?

All i want is bluetooth and a better sound, it does not seem too much to ask ? Or is it.

The beeps come from a completely different speaker to the headunit.

On the mk1, there is no visual display and the beeps will still work as normal whatever headunit you have fitted.

On the mk2, if you replace the headunit, you'll loose the visual display. The beeps will still work.

As softscoop has said, I changed my headunit for a Kenwood in my mk2 and lost the display on the stereo but still get the beep when reversing. I wasn't fussed with the display as most of the time when reversing your head is behind watching where you are going.

Sounds ok to me, i don't need the display on my Mk2 and of course all the Mk1 has is the beep, i honestly thought they came through the cars speakers ?? But hey hoy that is fine by me. I was thinking of going for the Dynavin N6 but that has nav as well so makes it more expensive, this was top of my '' other '' list.
