Can rear mudflaps be fitted to the vRS Fabia ? If so, is there a part No / fitting instruction out there ?

They can be fitted, but the taste police will come and get you :)

Right, take that as they look Sh*te then ??

Do a search, for Fabia rear mudflaps - loads of info, including a how-to. Depends on your tastes, if you think it looks good, after you see the pics on here, then go for it! I must say I don't like it, think it's because of the Fab's short rear overhang. But it would be boring if we all thought the same.

Would probably look best on a black car too - or you could colour-code :)

Steve

On a black car it blends in relatively well, I have a feeling it wouldn't look too bad on a yellow one but it would stand out, not sure why but on the Silver & Red versions I'm not too convinced.

Lucky me, I've got a black one :P - not got flaps fitted (yet) but I'm getting very tempted as the spray is very, very bad (can be handy too ;))

the flaps actually suit the black one

this is mine

^ nice. Mine will be with flaps. My dealer will assemble them with other things such as eber diesel warmer etc.

Did you fit these yourself ??

yep i did its easy enough just need a sharp knife torx driver and maybe a hammer

I like the flaps, look good on my black car, especially when they have been treated so they look black like new!

I think they make the back end look more "squat".

Don't think they help the spray much tbh...

The front ones however are worth every penny, survived the surface dressing season without one spot of tar on the whole car!

What other modifications do you need for winter driving in Finland?

Winter tires

Actually nothing else.

I have them fitted to a Yellow Furbie vRS they look the "Dogs Danglies"

i pesonally like the mudflaps all round think the rear ones liek tom said give a much more "squat" look.... also with the curvature of the fabia bumper it just gives a wider meaner look (ignore me im weird... cummon "mean mudflaps" laughing to myself as i type it :D what on earth am I on about!!!)

Should have teeth on them  :P ;)

I like the red/black effect you get by putting mudflaps all round.

Just attached my rear ones on this evening. Took less than 2 hours. Amazing how easy it is to trim the bumper with a new stanley knife. (You use the original bumper as a guide for the knife - so its easy peasy). The screw supplied is not long enough to go through both bumpers and flaps at the underneath hole. A 10mm bolt, washers and locking nut fits fine without drilling, plus a little waxoyl to stop it going rusty. :)

Actually its a M6 bolt which takes a 10mm spanner.

Theres a thread ? on how to fit them. I ordered Mud flaps from new as part of the deal (Free) When I took delivery they apologised and said that they cannot be fitted to a vRS, put the front ones on (most effective anyway) and knocked

Needs to be put in the guides a.s.a.p. Then people arnt searching for it

OK?

I'd love to know where they fit the diesel heater - please post some pictures when you get your car. I have a Kenlowe electric heater in mine, and it was very difficult to find somewhere to mount it.

I'll do that. I was told that they will fit it inside the front bumber, in drivers side (that's the left side in here :D ) It's going to be very thight place.
