  • When you are over 60 ,44 sounds young!

  • Sorry to spoil the stats,  but I was 67 when I ordered my first Yeti,  and 69 when I ordered my second.  For the record,  what little hair I have is grey,  so is my beard,  I wear hearing aids and gla

bring up an old post, but my Yeti arrives on Wednesday a 2011 110ps elegance; only done 10,000 miles and kept inside. Must be the youngest Yeti owner at 19, surprised me insurance was not much more than my old 1.4 Polo. My friends think I have gone mad but unlike them I will be able to get down the rutted back lanes without grounding.

Well done, young man!!

And I have to ask about the Forum moniker?

Drive an old Fowler shunter and project managing some wagon restorations (so much rust and rot).

Nice one.

I'm now volunteering on the Corris Railway (http://www.corris.co.uk/) and helping to build coaches 23 & 24

(http://www.corris.co.uk/information.php?info_id=37) as part of my recuperation.

Edit.

Don't know why the second link doesn't show properly, but it takes you to the coaches pages!

Your link has a space at the end so it wont work.

This is it working:

Looks like that will be worth a trip have not been there

I'm 33 but it's been bought as my wifes car who is 29 so that brings the age coefficient down a bit.

Thanks Jim

Give me a shout if you do.

We are now closed until Dec for the Santa specials.

Nearby is also the Talyllyn and the Welshpool and Llanfair.

I have have had my Yeti for 3 years. Just turned 24.......OK its for the 37th time ....but in my mind I'm still 24!

Age is not important...living is!

Will do same if you are around the Yeovil area (south somerset) as people can come round when we are working

52 when I collected the Yeti, 54 now.

Colin

I was a sprightly 60 when the Yeti was collected and now a slightly heavier 65, hope to change car next year.

You've uncovered the real reason Yeti insurance is so low.

Just bought my first Yeti. My wife say's the Yeti does look like an old mans car, But the monte carlo isn't as bad as the other models. I have to admit some of the colours on the yeti would attract a more mature person.

It would be better to find out what model of Yeti each age group drives and colour. I recon Muscovado and Cappuccino are a favourite with people of a certain age followed by Rosso Brunello and jungle green.

Would be great to see the Mote Carlo in Race Blue but we live in hope. i will probably be too old by then and be looking at an L&K in Rosso Brunello or a colour to match my slippers

Check out the undercarriage ....it's no pretty boy's thang.

43 and jungle green... Does that make me old before my time YetiMC?

Exactly, saying that I found that a Golf etc would be a downgrade from my old Polo as need to move wood and steel for my projects some times, and I can fit 2 bicycle in the Polo despite its size It was worth buying car that I could get a bit more in and still get in small carparks. Insurance will still be about £700 but considering its almost double the power and 10 times more valuable than the Polo its only £200 more.

Looks like I'm the kid in the group then.

A 52 year old kid........ :notme:

Jeez I'm getting worried now, 38 and Jungle Green L&K being built next week, maybe I'm having some kind of mid-life crisis but instead of trying to relive my youth maybe I'm trying to fast-forward to pensionhood! :D

62, Muscavado, but really I want the yellow one that is/was available in Europe or the old old Bronze colour.
