stupid idea, 2013 hatch VRs to estate VRs

Featured Replies

I hated the dunlops, my old (standard suspension) vRS was on maxxis Z1's, I traded it in for my new estate (specced eibachs on the order) so expected it to handle better than my 50k old one with standard suspension...

it was AWFUL.... I actually considered giving the car back, and taking my old vRS back because the handling was so poor...

BUT , I thought, its cant be a "broken" car, its brand new!

I put my old wheels on it (with the maxxis tyres, I sold my old one with winters on ;) )an lo and behold, the handling issues vanished ;)

just my opinion..... they were that bad!

Dunflops I call them. Won't touch them with a barge poll after a incident on my bike with them fitted...

So deal finalised, pick up next week, most random thing i have done for a while. that me sorted for 3 years then, by then should be some decent engines in the Mk3 fabia

forgot to get pics and advert is gone, so heres the vid they did

Nice, enjoy.

A few vRS owners with a 2nd or 3rd now have gone for an Estate after first having hatches.

sods law, off to germany next saturday night, so guess that means a lap in the estate.  Just as well as i have a set of slicks to bring back with me, and bonnet an old race car bonnet for my wall.  See what the differences are in the two

A real sleeper in White.

Are you leaving the badges on the rump?

we're on a drift day again, pretty good days, we had an old 325i e36 on the last day and it was pretty good fun.  But a few of us going this time and we are trailering two MX5's and a v8 CLK.  We use the Rally courses on the right as you drive in.  Should be a laugh.  Plus they usually have a test day on the main track so always some good stuff going ground

Hmmmm Ive known him about 5 years and he's never broken his back but he's been racing all his life so it's possible

He's oldish yeah, called Mike Gorton of MGA Motorsport - his workshop is right next door to mine

I had an instructor at oulton park, grey hair, nice bloke, really knew his stuff, taught me proper "tail braking" .... really was good, you know, when someone "knows" what they are doing :)

may or may not be the same guy, cant remember his name, but he was shared between us "briskoda" people when we were there :)

looks like the guy in the black standing next to the girl :) great track instructor :)

Thats him and thats his daughter....keen car racer too!
