Felicia - who's lowered theirs, any improvements?

Featured Replies

Im considering lowering my felicia perhaps 35mm or something. Mebe some 15 inch 195 wheels. Has anyone done any lowering to thier felicias, and if so what kind of improvments did it make to the cars handling? feel, steering. grip etc and was it worth the money? I know my options are limited as far as lowering is concerned, but i might have a bash.

Hi, I'm very pleased with my Felicia that's been lowered & running 15 inchs wheels. Shocks are standard replacement KYB but gas, and the springs are Ventura which give a 35mm drop & are progressive.

I fitted the springs and shocks before I got my alloys so can confidently give a report for what was essentially a standard setup. I drive hard, with high cornering speeds and was very happy with the above suspension setup before alloys. To give you and idea I reckon I could safely negotiate a corner with an extra 10mph to my usual cornerning speed (pre suspension upgrade). With the alloys and with the lower profile and increase in lateral tyre grip I can add a further 5-8 mph to that.

My sister has a totally standard Felicia and at the weekend she drove mine. She couldn't wipe the grin off her face and was amazed what a significant difference it made, and she rides a Ducati for her kicks!
