reverse trouble on a 2005 superb

Hi guys, I am new to owning a Skoda after writing off my golf. I bought the 1.9tdi superb from an auction and not until I paid for it realised I've got trouble with reverse.

It's tiptronic and the tiptronic gears weren't working but didn't take long to replace the magnets on the selector and now works

My more serious issue is reverse gear. It will go into reverse and roll/crawl backwards but looses drive as soon as accelerator is depressed, then when idling it will return to roll/crawl backwards.

I have read endless forums off the reverse drums and spoke to many gearbox "specialists" who just want to take the box out and recondition it

It does have a fault code p1119 gear recognition signal intermittent, but no other fault codes

Could anyone please give me a genuine answer or opinion of next steps. Many thanks in advance, James
