Hey Guys,

I've had my 2014 ex demo Octavia wagon for 2 weeks now and couldn't be any happier with it. I was going to see if anyone had any recommendations on how to make it look slightly more badass without going too overboard on spending money. (If i had more money i would have been all over a new RS)

It's a stock 1.4L Ambition model in Candy White (i don't have any photos at the moment)

Hit me with any ideas or photos

Thanks

Superskoda?

Ebay?

There are a few "bad ass" additions out there depends how deep are your pockets

A few good ways to improve it visually that dont have to cost the earth......

Some larger OEM alloys.....18's from the vRS of some variety or the black wheels fitted to the UK black edition (name escapes me) would look good.

vRS black pack grille and mirror covers

Lowering springs

The black edition wheels are 18" Turini's :-)

Also octavia mk2 alloys will fit which there are lots of options on ebay.

Black Turini's are two faced ?

On the one hand, they look drop dead **** in your hat gorgeous on the other hand, they look a PITA to clean

I've had a little look at a few things but it's such a hassle getting stuff to Australia.

First up might have to be the good old black wheels/grille combo

Yeah i think the some black 18's of some description are going to be the go to begin with

I would say de-badge the tailgate and fit lowered springs, oh and dark tint the windows all round.

Tinting the windows helped the looks on my Ambition Plus quite a bit. Made the car look longer and lower by blending the vertical pillars into the horizontal greenhouse.

You could also wrap the roof. Also, some matte black accents on the lower door crease would make the car look lower.

I'm assuming you have the travel pack with the 17" wheels, you could get spacers to fill the guards a little better. That would make the car look lower without having to invest in new springs. I'm not sure about the legality of spacers in Aus, though...

Cheers!

Any recommendations on the springs, ride height etc? It's easy to find vRS's that have been lowered but i rarely see any like mine that have had anything done to them

Eibach I would probably go for.....just make sure you get the right ones as they make ones specific for torsion beam and multilink rear axles.

If your Octavia is 2wd and 150hp or less it will have a torsion beam rear axle.

Thanks, your info is super helpful.

Seems like most people either go for the Eibach or H&R springs. Do you know if the struts are the same between the vrs and the ambition model?

Paint it a different colour.

I think using a bit of black here and there looks great with the white.
