Picked up my new MK3 Monte Carlo

It's been a great car so far. Did 115 miles yesterday in heavy traffic.. Averaged 29mph through roadworks and rush hour and the car managed 51mpg without any effort.

Couple of hundred miles on my SE L now. Still all tight but not getting babied, just run sensibly. Read out tells me that since time began it is averaging 47.3 mpg which is rather good. Most of the miles have been around town with just one run to EMA and back last night. It does so remind me of my old Mk 1 vRS in the way it handles. Once the engine loosens up it will be a cracker and the DSG 'box is lovely...seamless changes, the numbers change but there is very little else to tell you that it has swapped cogs - up or down. Loose engine and DSG in "Sport" mode, or "Manual" mode should be good fun...in due course.

The colour is attracting lots of attention. All of it positive.

Happy Bunny.
