Hello! First Time Skoda Owner

I've been lurking for a while, thought I would say hello.

I collect my first Skoda on friday - A Rapid Sport (1.2 TSI) in white. We (we are a family of 4 with 2 kids) were looking to downsize from an increasingly unreliable (and hence expensive) BMW 3 series touring to something more reliable and cheaper to run (and new!). After some shopping around we settled on the rapid for it's blend of value, space, low running costs and a cracking retail deal (0% etc). I had gone into the showroom wanting to look around an octavia but Mrs PerArdua claimed it was 'too big' considering we were downsizing! The deal was sweetened further by them selling me the actual car in the showroom which pretty much matched the spec I would want, with the addition of auto lights and wipers. It has Sat Nav and the white dashboard inserts. It looks great in white - just like the one on the brochure front cover.

I have a weekly commute from Norfolk to Bucks so it will be interesting to see what economy I'll get from the TSI on steady dual carriageway runs but everything I've read so far (on this forum) suggests I should get equal, if not better, than the 2-litre diesel in the BMW (averaging about 45mpg) on these long runs.
