AFH oil pump.

Featured Replies

Hi guys more vag experience required please. Iv got my 1600 AFH built and driving about but iv got a tapping kinda noise going on that is most certainly from the valve train, Im sure its an oil pressure issue, I've not yet put a test gauge on it yet because I'm reluctant to remove the pressure sender due to a very dodgy thread, also the "lack of pressure" isn't bringing on the light on the dash. When I built it I fitted a new oil pump that to the best of my knowledge is working as It should but I ha read there could possibly be an option of pump to block gasket that bolts up perfectly but the oil gallery hole is off by roughly half a hole so impeding oil flow hence lack of pressure in the top end, im waiting for a call back from my vw dealer but does anybody know if this is true??????? Please I'me starting to go mad that I cant find the problem!!!!

Anybody know if that's true about the oil pump gasket?

Given the fact you are working for quite some time on a project that has nothing to do with a stock Felicia, wouldn't be better to create a special topic in section Classic SKODA Projects ? Instead of creating many short, specific topics in here, it would be more effective to have everything in one place so that future rally fans don't have to hunt for bits of information. I sense by your message bumps that you are worried your questions will have no visibility and won't get answers as fast as you'd want. But rest assured. The Classic SKODA Projects section is visited often exactly by those who can help you. The 99.999% of us in here can't.

Just my 2 cents.
