Fuse?

Featured Replies

Seems I have a few electrical problems, the heater fan stopped working, and I've since noticed the 12v power outlet isn't working nor if the rear wiper, everything else seems ok.

I've swapped the heater fan fuse (#37) and checked the other two (#36/#14) under the dash.

Any idea if there is a common fuse hidden somewhere?

Oh its a 15 plate ASG

And then it all started working again?!?!

I realise i'm answering myself, but as a bit of an update,  it ended up being intermittent, and if it failed a switch off restart or 5 would sort it out, so I went to the dealer who had it in for a look and they couldn't fault it, although I had a video of it failing so they changed a relay which seemed a likely culprit.  All seemed sorted, which is always a hard thing to know with an intermittent fault, but after a month or two......

Anyway, it failed again today.

Am I alone with this fault?

Maybe clutching at straws but a few years ago I dad an Escort that had an intermittent fault that turned out to be a faulty fuse. When carefully disassembled the wire inside was about mm. short when it was cold. New fuse fixed! Lots of labour charge though for a 50p fuse. Luckily it was a company car.

Hi today a  I had an exactly same issue ,with my citigo 2015, like you. These days we have a very hot weather in Slovakia about 38 degrees Celsius and I run quite long uphill and I had a feel that car is very lazy. Than I realized that fan, 12v socket and rear wiper do not work. There was not a problem with fuses and after few hours everything works OK. I suspect that hot weather caused big energy consumption on a cooler fan and ECU disconnected these devices.

And today it doesn't work again. Tomorrow I'am going to Skoda dealer.

Hi,

I had the same issue, the diagnose shows somthing about low voltage. Is it a known issue?

I was in car dealer service and the problem was ignition switch.

Do you keep your car key on a heavy bunch of keys by any chance?
