Hello!

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just bought myself a 56 plate Octavia Mk2 this weekend. Really pleased thus far, I've gone for the 2.0 TDI PD DSG Laurin & Klement with Sat Nav.

Im a fairly experienced home mechanic, IT geek by trade, so looking forward to tinkering. My other cars include a Discovery TD5 Auto from 1999 which has been my daily drive for a few years and I've just clocked up 100k in it (190k total). The disco has been heavily modified and tinkered with. I also have a Ford Focus TDDI from 2001 which I bought for my partner to learn on and is now her car mainly.

I'm planning a new workshop in 2017, hopefully with a 4 post lift also! I'm planning on getting VCDS to sid things, as my Hawkeye doesn't cover VAG cars.

Anyways, thats enough for now, I have some Qs but this isn't the place!

Alex.

Oh the L&K, a lovely spec :) We have a VCDS/Diagnostic section and loads of very knowledgeable members to help you kickstart the experience.

I love the bumper sticker on some disco's "you can go fast, I can go anywhere".  Welcome to the community.

I prefer "Your Skid Ends Here" ;) Been rear ended a few times and just gotten out, looked at the mangled front end and gone "That was silly, wasn't it?" before leaving them to it. Saves them a claim on their insurance anyway!

Still the Octavia will be my commuting vehicle, with the Disco for weekend fun :)
