No advise really as there are so many factors. If you're into modding then make sure it's a specialised insurance company, i.e one of the sponsors, and just search around for the best quote. But actually get quotes and then use that to get better quotes from insurers.

For my Octavia vRS I paid £330 fully comp and coming up to my 5th ncb.

Get a classic car, might get it under £100.

I paid £88 a couple of years ago for my Morris Minor.

With breakdown cover. :D

About £56 a year on the MG with breakdown, add the Stag in and it was about £120

Edit: Breakdown Cover is very advisable with these though :P or for that matter any of our cars

I'm 25 have 7 years no claims. Fully comprehensive cover on a 2008 Octavia VRS Tfsi. Total excess of £90. Cost £320 [emoji3]

If you're an old git like me it gets cheaper. The Toledo and a 2ltr Mk3 MX-5 If I remember cost £460 last year. I could have got another £100 off that by changing to another  company but better the devil you know.

Too many variables to really comment, welcome to the world of lube up and brace insurance!

Just shop around before you buy that is the only real good advice. The area you live in plays a big part on your insurance, for example if I was to insure my car (2015 Octavia 2.0TSi vRS) near Bossfox, it would be at least £1-300 a year cheaper than where I live. If I was to insure my car  where my cousin lives (up north) it'd probably the premium would be near to £2-300 a year.

awww man i was hoping for some get cheap insurance secrets :P, oh well i suppose ill have to bend over and take whatever i get haha

If you're using the price comparison sites make sure you check them all. The same insurers often give different prices depending on the comparison site you use. I did quotes with all the main ones and then went to the IAM who guarantee to beat your best price, which they did nicely.

My Fabia vRS would have cost me £180 fully comp, if it was standard.

35 yr old living in Bristol. No accident, claims or convictions.

Top bloke!

I once got a quote for my VRS full comp + legal + protected NCB for  £120

It was so cheap I didn't take it and went with another more well known company for a bit more money.

Only thing I've ever had cheaper was my Bike when I had it, Fully comp on a ZXR400 for £80 with only 3yr NCB. Tax was only £15 as well.

IMy insurance has come down steadily over the last 15yr until this year when it went back up with everyone I asked. I had a windscreen claim last year but not sure that would make a huge difference. I guess I've just bottomed out in the insurance market.

Sitting at about £210 this year.
