Hi,

own a 1.9tdi octavia ambiente 2001.

Wife whacked passenger side wing mirror and cracked

the glass, wing mirror casing OK. Does anyone know where I

can get new heated glass to fit back in the wm casing.

The electrical connection is undamaged.

cheers

I was going to ask the 'Mirror' question as well.

My offside mirror is blue glass & demists OK; my nearside mirror is plain & doesn't demist. I also have a small crack in my nearside mirror housing. I guess it took a whack at sometime & either a non-heated mirror was fitted or the electrics were damaged. I have a few questions:

Are both mirrors meant to be blue tinted?

Do the mirror housings come pre-coloured or bare plastic?

How do you get the glass out? Do you have to smash it?

Thanks

Darren

I was on e-bay the other night and I am sure that there were a number heated glass mirrors there. Might be worth a look!

The glass unclips, you need something wide and thin wrapped in a cloth to lever it out.
