Replace Front Side Lights

Featured Replies

I have a 2012 Skoda Superb - a few days ago got a warning Replace Front Right Side light - was very impressed not only letting me know a bulb was gone but also which one. Then the confusion started. The bulb is in a low visibility area and i cant see exactly how to get it out. Not sure if there are clips or it screws or you just pull it. I have tried pulling gently but have a feeling there are clips or something else holding it back. I was sure the answer would be in the manual - it seemed to indicate they just pull - on other forums i saw there might be 2 clips. Has anyone replaced one of these recently or could anyone provide tips.

Pull, pull a bit harder, then pull harder still, then curse and swear when the bulb holder finally releases from the headlight and you crack your knuckles on the fuel filter housing.

After replacing the bulb snap off the two small plastic lugs on the bulb holder, the fit is more than tight enough without them and will save the blood, sweat and tears next time!
