Fabia 14 monte carlo: On deceleration the speedo needle seems to judder/almost step down the speeds it being about 1 or 2 seconds behind live time... Any ideas what this could be? Im booked in at a local dealer for later this month. 

Dodgey sensor?

If they were cable driven like the old motorbikes, is say lube your cable, but times change

The last time I saw this on a Golf it was the speedo head unit itself that was faulty. But it could be a number of things such as a sensor as mentioned above or a poor connection. It's pointless speculating at this stage.

Okay cool. Well I can live with it for now, it's just annoying when you look at it and see it studdering!
