Remapping MPI 1.4 16V on Fabia MK2 2011,

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've started researching more about tuning my lovely Fabia, and turned out that remapping is one of the first things that should be done to gain more power (torque and HP).

I've looked but couldn't find any big company that tuning those engines, only boutique ones.

Could someone point me to a remapping manufacture that I can contact ?

Thanks,
Mor

There isn't much point getting an NA engine remapped, there are very small gains to be had and wouldn't be worth the cost.

I'd recommend tweaking the handling as this will make the car faster in a different sense. Springs, shocks, rear anti roll bar, super pro bushes, good tyres will all help you make the most of the power you have and make the car more enjoyable to drive.

Some more info here, it's a MK1 but fundamentally the same engine

Absolutely no point.

On some N/A engines there are some slight gains to be had but definitely no point on a 1.4.

Also which engine is it as you've muddled up two types with your description.

The MPI is an 8V engine. So it can't be a 16V MPI. Is it just an MPI or 16V?

There is a Fabia 1.4 16V (100bhp) on here that was tuned by ABT. They did a load of internal engine mods and also engine remapping but just remapping alone will do nothing.

3rd one for no point.

Unless the engine is working with forced induction, a remap will give next to no gains
