This was always the problem with the Fabia vRS IMO, its just too easy and effortless to go fast, and it doesnt give enough sensation of speed either. If I'd kept mine, I probably would have been lucky to keep my license.

The thing is even though my current car is significantly faster than a std vRS, because of its power delivery and sensation of speed, its easier to drive slower!

Was a marked car hiding up a slip road that I passed.

27mph over is a pretty big risk. Glad you got fairly dealt with and aren't too bitter about it though.

There's roadworks on the M4 at present with a 50 limit. I came back through them last night staying very close to the limit and there were people doing at least 80 coming past me. No sign of a camera this time, but if there is, and they take you to court, that's bye-bye licence. Not worth the risk IMHO.

Maybe so, but when you've been used to driving a 14 year old rusty golf, believe me, it still feels very isolated
