Just returned from our honeymoon to find both our cars keyed.... My wife's year old Clio has a nice scratch front to rear, whereas my mk3 Octavian vRS got the special treatment with the F word scored into the rear bumper, and doodling on the boot.

My wife has only been driving a year and has a current open claim, so reluctant to involve insurance, but can't help thinking it'll be a four figure sum to repair. Anyone had something similar, and what did they do about the repairs?

Bar stewards! Sorry this happened to you. I just can't understand why anyone does this.

 

I had mine keyed right down one side when it was new and back in 2004 Skoda quoted about 950 quid to repair.

Seriously.. this is why I don't bother with a nice car.

 

Mine has got a scrape and dent along the right side, wing mirror knocked off and replaced with a badly painted replacement and messy bumpers with peeling paint... but it's mostly mechanically sound it seems to work ok

Anything body-work wise is now just a mild-irritation.

I don't believe in the death penalty. It's too quick.

 

Taking off the thumb and forefinger would probably do the trick. Hard to key a car without them.

 

There are some real low life oxygen thiefs around.

I think you should be abled to doodle on there forehead, with a tattoo pen or alike there by marking them.........only fair is it not?

Sorry to hear this. Sounds like you were targeted. Maybe invest in some CCTV if possible. I always stick my car in the garage if I'm away.
